I will have small blog posts on what you can reasonably do to get ready for this event over the next few weeks. Martha Stewart I am not and if you are her, you are probably not reading this blog. If you're anything like me you pin things on Pinterest but rarely follow through. I'll also have links on some of the posts to where you can read more or buy things for the eclipse. But for now, preparations are imperative.
So here's your first list of things to do for the eclipse:
- Talk to your family about their plans for that day. If you have kids, talk to them about what an eclipse is (if they play Minecraft or Terraria they probably already know). Talk to the kids about safety (never looking at the sun while it's happening). Or if it's just adults in your family, see if they have plans or if there is interest in plans.
- Make sure you have time off work for this. Maybe if you can take your lunch hour during the eclipse or if you can take the day off work to go somewhere.
- Plan something special. If you have the time and money, go to the middle of the country where the eclipse will actually be total. If you have a small budget, plan a picnic or outing during that event.
Simple right? You may have already done these things for the eclipse. But if not, it's not that hard to do. Also, I will have some links below for some fun eclipse products. If you order now, They'll probably come in time.
